WDCC, the piece that could've been...

Now that WDCC is no longer and placed into the "vault" I wanted to share a piece that I sculpted but never got made... It's from Mickey's Christmas Carol, Willie the Giant and Scrooge. I did this piece digitally in ZBrush, it was printed out by Morpheus Prototypes, and the paint master was beautifully painted by Mireya Romo-Bowen. Seen here are pictures of the different process steps. Too bad it didn't make it to the shelves... the piece was huge!

Thats really too bad, great job, it truely recreates the classic scene. Are their any other pieces you can share that were never to be?

Ruben, that is just awesome! What an incredible WDCC piece that would have been. So sad to know WDCC is now gone but even sadder to see the potential that was still there with a piece so beautiful like this one!

Truly spectacular piece, Ruben! Wish things were different so we could have this Willie in our collections.
Have a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones.
We miss you.

Wow - we will miss your artistry that helped bring many WDCC pieces to life. Hopefully something similar will come to life in the future and we'll be able to see masterpieces like this again. Thanks for all of your contributions to our happiness!!
