Elliot... "Pete's Dragon"

Here is a sculpture I did which was recently released by Enesco's Walt Disney Classic Collection. Its Elliot the lovable green dragon from the 1977 Disney Movie Pete's Dragon. This sculpts was a lot of fun, it actually reminded me of my years at the studio sculpting maquettes. Its the type of pose I would have done if I had worked on this movie. I couldn't help but mimic Charlie Callas' voice while working on the piece, hope you have the same enjoyable experience... Also shown are pics of the final original sculpt. Get the full details on the piece at our dear friend's website, Don the Duckman.

Wow, you really captured Elliot. So neat to see how the 2D can become 3D.

How long does a piece like this take to sculpt?

Ruben,

I cannot wait to add this to my collection! The sculpt is beautiful and really is dead on. My one complaint is one that you certainly had nothing to do with, I cannot stand that WDCC sheen!

Once I get this, I will be displaying it on my Micurio page. Micurio is a show and tell website for all sorts of collectibles. it woulkd be amazing to see your collection posted Ruben, and the collections of those who frequent your blog.
